Eines haben sie jedoch alle gemeinsam: Heuer feiern sie ein rundes oder halbrundes Dienstjubiläum in der Stiftung für integriertes Leben und Arbeiten (Silea) im Gwatt. Daher belohnte die Institution im Hotel Seepark 34 erwachsene Menschen mit geistiger, mehrfacher oder psychischer Beeinträchtigung für ihr langjähriges Engagement als Mitarbeiter. Nicolas Ruedin, Vorsitzender der Geschäftsleitung, erinnerte daran, dass alle Menschen mit zunehmendem Alter gesundheitliche Einschränkungen hinnehmen müssen. Bei den Behinderten sei dies nicht anders, sie hätten wegen der durchschnittlich geringeren Lebenserwartung sogar früher und öfters Gebrechen. «Umso mehr verdient es unseren Respekt, dass sich die heutigen Jubilare schon seit Jahren für die Silae einsetzen», meinte Ruedin. <b>Schmid am längsten dabei</b> Stiftungsrat Hugo Laager illustrierte mit Beispielen von längst vergangenen Ereignissen, was in jenen Jahren passierte, in denen die Jubilare ihre Arbeit in der Silea aufnahmen. Die Menge im Saal hörte gespannt zu. Klar am längsten mit dabei ist Susanne Schmid, die auf 40 Jahre engagiertes Mitwirken zurückblicken konnte. Sie zeigte sich aber ganz bescheiden: «Es ist doch einfach schön, dass wir alle miteinander arbeiten dürfen.» Einige Beeinträchtigte nahmen die Präsente  eine Blume, eine kleine Urkunde und einen Geschenkgutschein  ruhig und reserviert entgegen, andere wiederum freuten sich emotional mit lauten Gesten oder Rufen.
